Thats quite full-on and widespread. The ConeHead Cup is certainly movin right up.
I'll be racing the Sidonia and Stromlo races. The rest too fast and deadly for this old timer
Shame there's no slalom in Sydney this year. Real shame. |

I was so excited to see a Melbs race in there I did'nt realize there was no Sydney????!!!
On another note, today Johnny McGrath stepped onto a slalom board for the first time in more than 30 yrs and slowly blitzed us all....f*ckin amazing stuff _________________ Before enlightenment: Clean and skate drains

There was no Sydney race last year either. But 3 of the 5 races are an easy drive from Sydney, so we still get it easy compared to everybody else.
Might be some non-CC races in Sydney this year too....Long Reef, and there's always SOS... _________________ http://www.skateboardracing.org.au - ASRA, the home of Australian skateboard racing |

It just feels weird not having Allawah on the calender.
It even rolls off the tongue nicely.

I have put together a race for Wanaka NZ later this month: http://wanakaskateclassic.eventbrite.com/
http://www.facebook.com/event.php?eid=55220052921
It would great for an aussie to show up. But its way lo key this time around...
But the real reason for posting is this. I've talked to Bugs and Haggy at various times about hosting a Conehead Cup here in NZ. The idea hinges around creating a week trip whereby you lot can come snowboard/ski/mountainbike/drink coffee and within that week we run a couple of races. There would be no points allocated towards CC, 'cos obviously not that many people could make it over, but it would be a good week of action sports and holiday thrown in too. Proposed date is end Sept/early Oct as the snow is still good and the evenings are long and its not that cold.
If there is interest then this should be in another thread.
Whatever, I will be seeing you guys for a race prior to Newtons in November. |

Eddie - that looks amazingly rad.
I'm trying to get to Falls Creek that weekend to meet with the ski resort management. If that falls creek perhaps a weekend trip is in order...
Scoot - great to hear you are riding the cup this year. look forward to seeing you bro!! |
