R2 180, Why do it?
Because it was there.
(and Fitz said its possible),
and to try and keep up with the NACCOSSions.
Notice in the last pic how the hanger's centred dead over the
king pin. All done by hand no power tools at all.

These particular Randals are an exception of the "too thin to have hanger bearing" rule.
R2 hangers are quite thin compared to R1's. _________________

Don't worry if it looks a bit wonky, Bear.
Just check slap the complete truck baseplate down on a flat surface and measure the height of the axles from the surface up.
If they're within 1mm they're good enough. Any more and they may have problems going in a straight line. I reckon you'll be right though. _________________

Start with 2 carbi tool, TB8 bearings and a 3/16 drill bit.
The bearings go in the baseplate as the pilot for the drill.
Drill right through the baseplate, this hole, 3/16 is the pilot hole
for the router bit.
Carbi tool router bit T504B, make/get a spacer, turn down the
bearing screw and spacer to bout 4.5mm.
Use these to extend the pilot length on the router bit.

Heres where you have to check depths of cut etc.
The TB8 goes on the bit as a pilot, but prob wont let you cut deep enough
For the 10/19 bushing too seat, so do 1 cut with the bearing on
Then the finish cut with it off, to get deep enough
Heres the finished cut bout 5mm deep, with a pretty square seat
of 1.5mm, which is spot on for the 1.7mm outer ring of bushing.

I was goin to put a longer kp in, but decided i'd get just enough
out of the original.
Mosu, i use a drill and drill press my late grandpa bought in the 70's
just added my sweat, years of metalworking (tried a few diff pilots)
and do it slowly.
Rode it this arvo for a bit pumpin up/down the street.
Orange khiro barrel on the bottom (jacked up to bennett height)
and a reflex tall cone on top (had pink went to green).
So far its great, more feedback next sess. _________________ Get on a winning truck, Call me, call me now!
